What this site is

The site presents the coffees sold under the Parthenia mark and provides a reference tool for water hardness. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance. Prices, availability and commercial terms are agreed in writing, case by case.

The water data

The hardness figures we publish are taken from the published data of water utilities and public health regulators, and each entry names its source. We reproduce them faithfully. We are not their origin, we cannot guarantee they are current at the moment you read them, and a utility can change its sources or its measurement points without notice.

Use these figures as an orientation. For anything that turns on the exact number — equipment, filtration, a technical specification — the analysis published by your own water utility is the one that governs, not ours.

Our recommendation is an opinion

The match between a hardness band and a blend is our recommendation, based on roasting practice and tasting. It is a professional opinion. It is not a certified scientific result, it has not been established by independent laboratory testing, and we do not present it as one.

We say this deliberately: a performance claim stated as objective fact would have to be substantiated, and this one is not. Taste is the test. If a blend does not work on your water, tell us and we will say so.

Intellectual property

The Parthenia name and mark, the texts, the images and the structure of this site are protected. You may read them and quote them with attribution. Systematic reproduction, republication or commercial use needs our written permission.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided without any promise of uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this site or the information on it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in them removes the mandatory rights of a consumer under the law of the country where the consumer lives.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of this site are governed by Italian law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where they habitually live — including, for UK consumers, the mandatory protections of UK consumer law.

For disputes with a consumer, the courts of the consumer's place of residence remain available. For all other relationships, the courts of Naples, Italy have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page is the date of the version you are reading, and it is the only version that applies to your use of the site today.
